Courtney Ned
Cypress, Texas
Major at OSU:
Double Major in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations
Why you chose to attend OSU:
After researching and visiting OSU my junior year of high school, I fell in love with the atmosphere and the opportunities the school had to offer.
Why you chose to cheer/pom/pete at OSU:
Dancing on a drill team throughout high school fueled my interest in continuing to dance at the college level. After watching the Pom and Cheer at several football games, I decided to try out for the Pom Squad in April of my senior year and have been blessed to be apart of OSU Pom for 3 consecutive years.
Favorite memory with the Spirit Group:
My favorite memory with the spirit group is our annual trip we take as a spirit squad. Last year, our trip was to the Missouri game where we lead our team onto victory as OSU defeated Mizzou with an interception during the last minute of the game. We where able to celebrate with the team and it was a great bonding experience between the Pom and Cheer squad.
Favorite hobby outside of OSU Spirit:
My favorite hobby outside of OSU Spirit is Public Speaking.
The person that has influenced you most and why:
The person who has influenced me most is my mother. Despite being a single mother, she has provided countless opportunities for both me and my younger sisters. She is a very strong-willed person and I respect and value her knowledge of insight.
What 3 words describe you best:
Noble, Enthusiastic, Determined
What mark would you like to leave with OSU/OSU Spirit when you graduate?:
Upon leaving the OSU Spirit squad, I would like to leave a mark of always bringing excitement to a situation. Whether it was gameday, a practice, or even a special appearance I always tried to make it fun and enjoyed every time we were able to spend together as a spirit squad.
